Dental Hygiene - Program Information
A Registered Dental Hygienist is the member of the dental health care team who provides preventive oral health
care services including oral prophylasis, dental health education, dental x-rays, nutritional counseling, dental
sealants, preliminary examinations, and other preventative measures in dentistry.
Kent College offers an advanced 18-month dental hygiene
program designed to prepare students to practice as primary oral health care providers in a variety of practice
environments.
The program
consists of three 22 week semesters. There is a two week break
period between semesters.
