In the Medical Office Assistant
Program, you will learn basic medical terminology and pharmacology, and be trained to
prepare and administer basic medical office tests.
Students will learn to assess and prioritize patient appointment requests
and respond to patients’ basic questions about their medical condition and
prescriptions. In addition, you will learn general office procedures and
administration including the use of medical billing software package. You
will also receive First Aid and CPR training and certification.
This program maintains the highest possible level of standards and it keeps
current with the industry and employers requirements.
Upon graduation, you are prepared to begin a career as an Admitting Clerk,
Emergency Room Admitting Clerk, Medical Secretary, Medical Transcriptionist,
Medical Receptionist, Medical Billing Clerk or Medical Office Assistant.
